Plastic surgery through the ages

National Geographic has produced a very interesting infographic on the origins and development of plastic surgery from ancient times until today. Here's a brief excerpt to illustrate it.

There's more at the link. I didn't realize plastic surgery's origins went back so far. Very interesting reading.

This is eerily similar to the methods developed to treat "airman's burn", an injury frequent in WWII Britain. Class-what happens when the gas tank 5 feet in front of the cockpit gets machine-gunned in a 250 mph wind?
